      Overview

Financial performance is a collective responsibility, yet many team members rarely have the opportunity to review the practice’s Profit and Loss (P&L) statement. This course is specifically designed to demystify financial reporting for everyone in the practice, with particular value for Head RVNs, Head Receptionists, and other team leaders. Through this "professional gym" workout, you will explore the core components of a P&L and identify exactly where your team’s daily actions—such as stock management, gross margin control, debt recovery, and resource allocation—make a direct impact. By the end of the session, you will be equipped to move beyond the numbers and produce a tangible plan to improve a specific financial area within your department.

      Intended learning outcomes

By the end of this course, you should be able to:
      • Demonstrate an understanding of the key parts of a practice P&L
      • Distinguish areas of the P&L that you can directly impact
      • Produce a plan to improve an area of the P&L
